Saying, even yelling, “No!” did nothing to stop him

This was many years ago, but I still feel the effects of it. I was about 16 when I got a job as a cashier. We had a manager who was in his 20s to early 30s, and who was a real groper. His hands were all overus every chance he got. Saying, even yelling “NO!” didn’t do anything to stop him. No one had ever told megrowing up that I didn’t have to tolerate this kind of treatment, so we all just put up with it. It went on for along time, and he did eventually stop. I’m not sure why. But it all still burns me today because I know that this is a reason I have trouble asserting myself in many types of situations. It was ingrained early that whatI want, and what I’m comfortable with comes last in comparison to what the people with the power want.
