Our boss told us that if we said anything, bad things would happen to us

I worked at a small business with 3 men and 2 other females. The sexual harassment started almost immediately. It started with comments about our bodies, what they would like to do to us, and always asking what size our bra’s were. The discusting comments and body brushes were more than I could take.

We tried to report it to the supervisor, or owner, but he was one of the men doing the harassment.

I finally quit my job after one of the employees that was doing the harassment was arrested for sexual assault times 3. We were scared and our boss told us that if we said anything about this man, bad things would happen to us. We had no place to go.

After I quit I retained an attorney and am still getting this ready for court. The sexual harassment has turned to criminal threatening and assault. But I will keep moving forward. This needs to stop. We all can help this happen if we take charge of our lives, no matter what the outcome.

thats horriible that your boss was letting this go on and harassing you as well…….good luck with your court case. and you are right, it is standing up to sexual harassment that helps change the outcome.

That is absolutely terrible that your boss would be like that. Good for you that you stood up and took a stand! Hope your case goes well!

i hope the case goes well for you. just know that the more we speak out the better chance there is that pepole will realize there is a problem with sexuall harassment and assult going on at our work places… iam out of work for the same reason because my boss thought that i desirvied what i got because he signed my checks..i have gone to the police and the investigation is in the works…and i am very scared…as long as we stick together we will come through it …you are in my thoughts..be strong and feel good.

     I was working at a warehouse in Brampton,Ontario.

     The supervisors name was Michelle, at first we got along great. But after a few weeks she started making comments about my butt. I never thought anything of it, she’s a woman afterall. Until she started inquiring about my sex life, and the kinds of activity I got into. I was taken aback. So I remained silent, that’s when she said “Talk or your out of here”.

     I refused to say anything. Eventually she quit bugging me, but since then I’m defiant with authority figures.I never thought someone I respected would do that to me.
